Are you ready to explore the most glamorous Reds ?! ❤

I have an obsession with the max factor lipliners already. They are so creamy and pigmented, my favourite shade is 08 Mauve Mistress. Now the Marilyn Monroe collection joined my obsession list.

Max Factor recently released Marilyn Monroe Lipstick Collection of Reds. There are 4 shades in the collection, Match your skintone and choose your red:

  • Marilyn Berry Red for cool tone – It’s a Red with a bubble gum pink undertone.
  • Marilyn Sunset Red for warm tones – It’s a Red with a brick orange undertone.
  • Marilyn Cabernet Red for darker tones
  • Marilyn Ruby Red for the iconic red – It’s a pure Red.

Sometimes Red Lipsticks gives a hard time for darker skin tones. Not every Red lipstick Suit us. Thanks to Max Factor for their new collection. The packaging of lipsticks are in the usual Max Factor square ones but in a stunning Red colour. The shades are vibrant and the coverage is not sheer or very pigmented, It is in between. You can wear it as a light tint of colour for the morning time or build its coverage like in the swatches for the evening look.

It has a noticeable fruity, citrusy scent, some may not like it. The finish is glossy and I blot it with some powder since I don’t prefer shiny finish. The application is really smooth and easy, Thanks to the moisturising Grape seed oil and coconut oil in it.

If anyone asks me to choose one shade, that would be “Cabernet Red” which is not in the swatches. Thats a perfect shade for darker skin tone. If you are in my skin tone, check out that shade at the stores.
