Rimmel Fix & Protect Primer – Review

A Multi-Protective Shield that helps protect the skin against daily stresses including Pollution & Damaging UV Rays, with its own built in complexion beautifier.

Prime, Protect & Prevent with this skin perfecting multi-protective UV shield primer. That instantly perfects skin by optically blurring imperfections and visibly improves the complexion & skin’s texture overtime. Wear under foundation to create a smooth skin canvas for easier & prolonged makeup application or wear alone as a brightening protective shield.

The primer comes in a 30ml tube with a pink cap. The primer has a very liquidy texture and white in colour. It leaves a white cast after applying on darker skin tones like mine which I don’t like.

The primer comes with a SPF 25 which makes it as a multi purpose product. I always forget to apply sunscreen. Being in Dubai and not applying sunscreen is not a good thing, so I am much happy about the SPF.

It moisturises well and doesn’t cling to the dry areas, it will be very good for dry skin too. It dries matte and provides a even base for the foundation step. The thing which I love the most is that it keeps the foundation in place without moving for a longer time. I like the primer as much as I love the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation, Definitely I will be repurchasing this primer once it gets finished.

The Primer costs 41 AED. You can find Revlon products at Boots, Lifestyle stores.

  1. I’m always on the look out for the next best primer. An SPF of 30 would be better, 25 seems like an odd number. Does your foundation and or moisturizer have an SPF? My moisturizer is a 30 SPF, along with the foundation I wear. Being in my late 50’s, I’ve seen the first hand benefits of using a daily SPF. (which I’ve been doing for 30 years) Your older self will thank your younger self for using the higher SPF. Great post.
